Slamp - Enlightenment from a new idea. The company Slamp lighting represents a combination of personality, professional skill, and a wide range of experiences. This blend gave rise to new ideas, which were brought into reality with great creativity and marketing insight. This is the approach used by Slamp in the challenge of the global market. Slamp has overturned the usual business approach. It has extended the total market volume by creating new categories of furnishing products. For example, it has created a new form for light: a simple, highly recognisable form. A modern lamp concept, interpreted by internationally-famous designers and artists. In addition, other Slamp ideas: a range of furnishing objects and everyday items that give colour and character to every room in the home. Style, design, quality and originality: in a word, Slamp.
Slamp Story
1992 Samuel Parker conceived the potential of a radically innovative lamp concept, which could be created using new materials whose formula he researched and for which he obtained exclusive manufacturing rights and patents. 1993 Samuel Parker created and registered the Slamp trademark; he obtained all the major electrical certification, and presented the first ranges of lamps at Euroluce, in Milan. 1994 The earliest Slamps were presented at S.I.L., Paris (international lighting show), at Euroluce in Milan, in Hanover and New York. 1995 Thirteen internationally-famous designers coordinated by Anna Gili created the Atelier collection for Slamp. 1996 The first Slamp shop was opened in Rome as an experimental franchise store. At present, Slamp products are present in over 500 stores in Italy alone. 1997 The Cleto Munari Collection was presented at the Scuderie, Palazzo Reale, Naples, for which the art object publisher commissioned work from six great contemporary designers. 1998 Slamp launched Dingos and inaugurated a collection of non-lamp objects for everyday use. An agreement was signed with the Walt Disney Corporation, and this led to the Cartoon collections featuring the most famous Disney characters. 1999 Slamp was featured in a national advertising campaign using the most important magazines in the sector. 2000 The Slamp catalogues included over 200 products. The company had become a point of reference for over 60 designers, artists and architects. A new expression in the field of international design. 2001 The new Internet site was developed with Uhuru, the first step towards on-line sales of the most prestigious Slamp products.
The birth of a new idea Permanent innovation: this is the meaning of Slamp Lab. A location at which different creative areas come into contact and produce scintillating results: engineering skill and industrial design, visual design and alternative communications. Incessant research at the Slamp Lab produces an object that is more than a lamp, and more than a furnishing accessory: a "thing" that immediately harmonises with our requirements. A highly original shape made using an innovative material, a new category meeting the new demands of modern consumers. The Slamp Tube. Simple. One immediately sees that it is not just a lamp. Take a Totem Etno, for example. One doesn't have to switch it on, its different identity is strikingly noticeable. It is a motif. An atmosphere, an archetype, an unusual form with guaranteed attraction. It is an idea. Now, if you want, switch it on.

Illumination stems from a good idea. Slamps are decorated by the greatest professionals in the world of design, communications and image production, who worked on suggestions, styles and trends emerging from the sectors of fashion, beauty and interior design. Their ideas for Slamp express the fundamental categories of our design culture: classic/modern, black/white, warm/cool, organic/rational, geometrical/natural, elegant/discreet. The family of Slamp designers includes professionals of all trends and ages, but they are mainly women and young people. Women: female sensitivity is fundamental in the case of products that express and enrich our everyday life, our homes and furnishings. Young people: they possess instinct, boldness, and a will to break away from conventional means of expression.
